So, last Wednesday - November 27th, 2024 - I went to a Friend’sGiving at The Mermaid, near DownTown L.A. And, as always, I walked there. But, as it’s a VERY long walk, I Metro’d home that evening. As I’d gotten off at the H’wood/HighLand exit to see if anyone I knew was still working that evening…
…(Spoiler Alert: They weren’t, as it was after midnight) I was walking up the stairs to H’wood B’vard, and there was another photographer on his way down the escalator. So, I focused on the tiles behind him so I’d keep HIM out of focus, and this…:
As it was my Sony NEX7 with my long lens on manual focus, I kew he’d be out of focus. I was expecting just to get a side vies of a real photogrpher, with a real camera. And the camera was in clear view of my lens. What I WASN’T expecting was the he’d turn, portion the camera away, and, um, well, give this, sure, “pose.” After which, he said, quote, “Don’t post this! Please don’t post this?!” So I said I that wouldn’t, and……….
…………..Hm? Oh, posting’s what you do on th’ IG’s or FB’s, but not, and let me be VERY clear about this, NOT on a website. I’m publishing this mostly unrecognizable photo of a guy who DEFINITELY wouldn’t even’ve been CLOSE to recognizable until he did this. So, as a photographer, I do love to have BTS photos of me, and I’m always assuming that other’s do too. Except 74.276% of the time, they really, REALLY, don’t. So, here: Here’s a not close to posted photo of a non-postable, uh, “pic.” It’s a published photograph.
